MoveOn Ad Contest, Open Source Media Buying

October 16, 2003

bush_hurt.jpgMoveOn.org's Bush in 30 Seconds political TV ad contest is the first relatively mainstream example of Steven Johnson's Mob Spots concept. This type of behavior is behind my original vision for activefreemedia. The full vision includes some sort of open source software integrated with the already established media buying systems in the ad industry so that people could put their money directly toward putting their mobspots of choice into specific airtimes/adspaces.
