Collaborative Events and Feed Rolls

November 14, 2003

I continue to be blown away by the power of social software these days. First I read about Cooperative Web Services like on the Gothamist Events page, which is exactly what Listen Up! should do for Youth Media events. Upcoming.org. It really is all about tapping into the large scale collective ability of communities to keep themselves informed and empowered. Ahh, how to get these services used in poor communities, in time for the election? (You have to go there.)

Then I see Feedroll.com's RSS viewer which makes it really easy to add headlines from any news site with an RSS feed to your website. I guess one part of the Youth Media Blog Toolkit has already been done for us.
