Media and Secrecy are key Bush weaknesses
December 19, 2003
In two notable editorials, today's Behind Closed Doors and July 25th's Blocking the Big Media Power Grab, self described "libcon" (libertarian conservative) columnist William Safire has been amazing at exposing some of President Bush's key weaknesses. Safire rightly calls media giantism a "sleeper issue" for 2004 because it's one that puts both conservative and liberal voters and communities on one side with big media corporations and Bush on the other. Also, aware that the secret Energy Task Force meetings feeds suspicion of wrong doing, he writes "If 'freedom' is the word Bush and Cheney want as the hallmark of their administration, they should begin with freedom of information." Thanks for exposing the hypocrisy.
