Battleground: New Guerrilla Film emerging from Iraq

January 12, 2004

gnn_battleground.jpgIn late 2003, two filmmakers from the Sundance award-winning Guerrilla News Network spent three weeks on the frontlines of this simmering guerrilla war, gathering intelligence, dodging bullets, and capturing the untold stories of what has become "the world's most covered, and misunderstood, conflict." I checked out the 6 minute trailer for the upcoming feature film, Battleground, which seems to have the potential to open up the conversation beyond the armchair rebels, keyboard patriots, and the rest of the pro and anti-war voices, to give us a more complex and real view of unfolding reality of today's Iraq.
