Dinner and a Billboard in Brooklyn
July 22, 2004 |
Riding high from an amazing night in the suburbs, we hosted a long overdue first dinner party of the summer on our roof deck in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. In addition to good people and good food, a screen and a projector created a an exciting new form of neighborhood billboard. After we put it up, folks from our St. Felix St. block suddenly arrived up on the roof for some elements from my free culture performance.
Over the next week, along with making the screen bigger for better viewing from the street, I'll set up a contribution system on this site so you can submit images and ideas for the first public billboard project of activefreemedia. So far, we've got "whose neighborhood? whose brooklyn?" and "free the white booty." Get started on your design today!
