"independence day" slideshow by google

In what might be a perfect capsule of our current moment, july 4 2004, I opened up my laptop on a rooftop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn last night and searched google images for "independence day". After a few decisions with new friend Seth Heine, a quick import into iPhoto, we presented the independence day google slideshow to our fellow rooftop citizens (you need the new quicktime to view it).
It was a perfect independence day for me, from the small gathering of good people to the bigger rooftop with fireworks and rock and roll, with a renewed spirit to declare independence from whatever is stopping me. Thanks to Pravin Sathe and Solid Hang for the invitation.
