"I Have a Dream" and the rise of a healthy culture

I'm sure this video came out a while ago, but I just saw it for the first time, and it makes me feel good about where we're moving as a culture. Common and Al Gore and General Electric are all moving the culture in a more healthy direction. Now we gotta speed up the momentum.

From India Shining to the Indian Latte : Why I love the Internet

Last weekend I ended up being late for an afternoon barbeque because I was finishing up a vocal recording of a piece I had written with the help of a friend Rakesh (and inspiration from a song by Bob Marley and an Indian political slogan) while in Mumbai and Bangalore last April. For more background, check out the youtube presentation.

Then I uploaded it to CCmixter. Didn't think about it much as I was overwhelmed with my second week of work in my new London home.

And now, exhausted at 8:45 on a Friday night at the office finishing up some things for the week, I get an email notifying me that someone named "illusivemind" has uploaded a track that mixes my acappella "India Shining" and his track called "Cafe Latte."

Take a listen to "Indian Latte," and you can appreciate the wonder and beauty of CCmixter, Creative Commons, and the Internet in general. Have a good weekend.

Mutcluck: Upcoming Video Adventures this Summer with my Brother

Renaissance recruiter of video game artists, film/television critic, up and coming creator of great media, and most of all my brother and longest best friend, Mutcluck will be traveling across the United States in late June and July with a camcorder, laptop and a dream.

Especially now that I am across the pond in London, I am so curious to see what this talented, young, and creative media maker is going to share along his travels.
