Vice President Nunn?
July 9, 2008
After reading the full list of potential vice presidential listed by CNN, I'm leaning toward Sam Nunn, former Senator from Georgia.
To me it's more important to choose someone who's actually going to improve your ability to lead than just "deliver" a certain state. This guys seems like a no nonsense, national security, international policy guy who kind of looks like a Democratic version of Dick Cheney.
Plus, the fact that he's been out of the scene since 1996 actually gives him more credibility with regard to Obama's message of change in Washington. All the others seem too much image, not enough deep credibility based on the CNN descriptions. Thoughts?
